Nieuwenhuis: ”A great collective performance”

Joris Nieuwenhuis: “There was tension at the start, but not so much because it was tailwind. It was also nervous ahead of the finale, Kragh Andersen crashed hard and that was a big blow for the team. I was behind at that moment and I couldn’t get in the group when Cosnefroy accelerated. I had to control and hide myself in the chasing group until I got 3rd. It’s a great collective performance, in line with our results this season. It’s my first time on the podium of a major race, it’s awesome. It gives me a lot of confidence.”
