There are the great races that we watch. And then there are the ones we look forward to. Paris-Tours is one of them! Since 1896, the “Classic of the Falling Leaves” has crossed landscapes and generations, writing a new chapter in its history every autumn. This year, its 120th edition will have a special resonance. Because Paris-Tours is not just about a finish in the heart of Tours: it is an entire region that comes alive. From the hillsides to the vineyards, from country roads to the streets of our city, the riders will pass through landscapes that tell the story of Touraine and reflect its identity. What I particularly appreciate about Paris-Tours is what it creates around the race: towns working together, roads and paths maintained collectively, residents coming together, and heritage showcased in a different way. Six municipalities in our region have joined forces to preserve and maintain the paths used by the race. This is also what sport is about: a wonderful way to bring a region together. So, on 11 October, let’s turn out in large numbers to cheer on the riders and make this 120th edition another great celebration for everyone. Welcome to Paris-Tours, and welcome to our region!
